Networking can sometimes tend to get old and repetitive. Thank goodness for the folks at Cobb After Hours for putting on one of the best events of the entire year. This conglomeration of the Cobb Chamber and business associations really hits it out of the park every time with the annual 2016 October Haunt After Hours. And by park, we mean Six Flags over Georgia where the October Haunt After Hours has been held for the past six years. We’ve managed to attend the last four years (Even when the thunderstorms rolled in) and it always turns out to be both a great time and a productive evening. Last night was no exception, what a production! The night was focused on honoring the amazing men and women in the military, fire and rescue and emergency medical technicians, with generous participation by great local sponsor organizations like Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Puckett EMS, and Loud Security. Once we were escorted through the little-known back entrance to the park, we were greeted with tons of local business presenters, amazing food, complimentary drinks and a very cordial event staff. After our initial walk-through, it was time to ride some rides. Although one of the oldest attractions at Six Flags over Georgia, the Great American Scream Machine never disappoints. Then it was time to watch the costume contest and visit some booths to see what’s new from local Georgia businesses. As the night came to an end we realized just how productive and fun networking can be when it’s done right. This event seems to grow every year and with the amazing turnout, next year’s October Haunt After Hours should be even more exciting! Thanks to everyone involved with the Haunt After Hours and we’ll see you next year!
