2017 Six Flags October Haunt After Hours Does Not Disappoint

In News, Uncategorized by Quinn Borland

What’s better than a day at Six Flags? How about a day at Six Flags with no kids, great networking, amazing food, unlimited rides, games, prizes, ghouls, and beer? To say the 2017 October Haunt After Hours was a success would be an enormous understatement. This Cobb After Hours annual event was brought together through hard work of hundreds of people and multiple organizations.  This consists of over 7 chamber of commerce associations like The Cobb Chamber, numerous local business associations like The KBA, non-profits, and generous sponsors including Children’s Healthcare of AtlantaMetro Atlanta Ambulance, local staple Loud Security and of course Wayne E. Dodd.  This event supports community by encouraging local business to transact with each other which not only promotes local economy, but also aids in lasting and productive business relationships.  Last night’s record-breaking crowd numbered in the thousands and as always the Six Flags Private Event staff did a fantastic job of making everyone feel warm and welcome.  Such an amazing sight to see everybody relaxed, having fun, and enjoying themselves while promoting/marketing business.

What Is the October Haunt After Hours?

This annual event started way back in 2011, and it has continued to grow in size and participation every year.  Community leaders and associations came together with the idea to create a centralized regional networking event and the October Haunt After Hours was born.  Why not connect people and businesses that can’t necessarily connect on a regular basis?  So by offering a single venue for the entire region, many companies walk away with powerful networking partners or even new customers they may have missed due to geographical restrictions.  Each year these dedicated organizations and individuals provide local businesses with a fun-filled evening of networking, games, rides, food and drinks.  After speaking with Wayne Dodd (One of the head promoters/organizers) about last night’s festivities, he alluded to having something huge in store for 2018 but said only this. “Last night was a tremendous success.  Let’s just say we already have some great, new ideas for next year’s 2018 October Haunt After Hours, and we plan to make it the biggest one yet!”

Why Attend the October Haunt After Hours?

The efforts and opportunities afforded by these organizations help to promote local businesses and associations with prospects/partners, raise awareness for charities, and connect networkers from different Georgia regions.  Because of its continued success over the years, the October Haunt After Hours is now the largest outdoor networking event in the state of Georgia, and the most fun.  These types of events don’t just happen every day so the opportunity for new business is compounded by the sheer number of attendees/exibitors.  In other words, the odds are pretty good new business will be had.

“We’re always adding new businesses, new Chambers, and it’s always growing.  You’re always going to meet new people” – Mark Zangari – Sweetwater Mission
